About

 Hello! I’m Sandra

Registered Dietitian

With decades of clinical experience and public speaking expertise, I enjoy helping people understand complex ideas in a straightforward manner.

Educated at the University of Western Ontario for my undergraduate Honours Bachelor of Science degree, plus a year of internship through Vancouver Hospital and Health Sciences Centre (including intensive rotations learning all about clinical, outpatient, community and food service dietetics) around the lower mainland, I am passionate about all things Nutrition.

With infinite curiosity, and by keeping my finger on the pulse of trending hot topics, I help decipher technical jargon in easy to understand language and health strategies for my audience.

Helping women who have a parent with dementia, who are at risk themselves of developing Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia due to chronic conditions based on lifestyle factors, are clients that I enjoy helping guide with diet. Supporting women through peri-menopause (which can start as early as 35 yrs of age), I help navigate the multisystem body changes through lifestyle, diet and nutrition, My Gentle Nutrition approach can provide guidance for women looking to improve their overall relationship with food, eating and their bodies during this transition period.

Living on a rural orchard in the heart of Vancouver Island, together with my husband, Rob, we have raised two kids. A beautiful, talented daughter and a highly energetic teenage son enjoy living the outdoor lifestyle that our west coast town provides. Two kitties, a lively pup and three chickens round out the homestead to keep life interesting and active.
